Comfy Cozy

I had a realization while doing my English corner and hanging out at the bookstore—I wasn’t just a foreign teacher doing an English corner. I was Justin hanging out at the bookstore. Not sure when that change happened, but it certainly wasn’t always the case. Happily, it is now.

Money in the Morning

Phone calls at 5:30 in the morning are generally unwelcome. Except when they are to inform you the government is going to give you money. Then they become pretty cool, I learned. Especially when you can go back to bed anyway.

Getting Out

I’m not sure if it’s good or bad to so extensively enjoy leaving campus, but just going to the further bookstore provided a nice respite. And the AFNY (yes, Air Force New York) hat a girl was wearing on the light rail contributed it’s own little share of mirth.

Dance Dance Revolution

My happy dances are contagious. As planned, at least a few of my students have picked up on the idea of looking for special little things in their lives. Hooray.

Yoghurt Dance

Important first step in getting comfortable here in China again: yoghurt (see British dictionary). It’s plain and somewhat more liquid than most Americans would anticipate, but I like it.
